Chantler of Mardon Stables said he
looked at Somebeachsomewhere
three times when he was a yearling
but didn’t pull the trigger when the
time came. That was in the back of
his mind when he bought a full
brother to SBSW named Bring On
The Beach. He paid $155,000 and
will turn the colt over to trainer Bruce
MacDonald.
“I’ve been racing horses for 46 years, so I don’t dream any
more,” Chantler said. “Sure, it’s neat to own
Somebeachsomewhere’s brother. These are lovely people
that raised him and this colt. They are good folks and it’s
good to see them do so well. Honestly, though, I thought he
would sell for a lot more.”
